Research Forum Community Guidelines

Last Revised on August 23, 2023

Welcome to Eigenlayer’s Research Forum. We created these Research Forum Community Guidelines (these “Community Guidelines”) to support our mission to create a positive, friendly, intellectual environment for participants in the Research Forum. These Community Guidelines apply to all content on our Research Forum and to all users of our Research Forum, and they outline proper use of our Research Forum.

Our Terms of Service (the “Terms”) also have specific rules of conduct and other restrictions that users must abide by when using the Research Forum. As a condition of your use of our Research Forum, you must agree to abide by both these Community Guidelines and the Terms. In the event of any conflict between the Terms and these Community Guidelines, the Terms will supersede and control. All capitalized terms used but not defined in these Community Guidelines have the respective meanings set forth in the Terms.

Research Forum Discussion Topics. The Research Forum is intended for discussions about Eigenlayer research and the EigenLayer protocol, including restaking, scalability, interoperability, and possible forms of actively validated services. The Research Forum is not the proper place to have discussions about the market, to market a project or digital asset, or to learn about the basics of Eigenlayer, nor should you use it to post your support requests. If you need technical help, or want a place for a more general discussion about Eigenlayer, consider visiting the Eigenlayer Discord.

Respect Other Users. Please treat others in this Research Forum with dignity and respect. Do not harass, bully, use name calling, ad hominem attacks, impersonate or intimidate anyone in our community and do not promote or participate in hate speech. We will not tolerate users who harass, threaten violence, or use hate speech against other users or community members.

Keep it Clean. Do not share vulgar or sexually explicit content or otherwise make adult content available to other Research Forum users. You cannot share or promote others to share content or links that depict adults or children in a pornographic, sexually suggestive or violent manner. This is a public forum, and search engines index these discussions. Keep the language, links, and images safe for family and friends.

Respect our Research Forum. Do not use bots, post spam or engage in spam-like behavior on the Research Forum.

Post Only Your Own Stuff. Post your own authentic content. Do not post any content that belongs to or was copied from someone else without the owner’s permission.

If You See a Problem, Flag it. Each user of the Research Forum is an important part of the community. When you see bad behavior by other users, don’t reply. It encourages bad behavior by acknowledging it, consumes your energy, and wastes everyone’s time. Just flag it. Moderators will review these flags and flagged content may be taken down, either automatically or by moderator intervention.

If you violate these Community Guidelines, we may remove offending content or terminate or suspend your account, and we reserve the right to take any action that we may deem appropriate in response to a violation or suspected violation of these Community Guidelines. These Community Guidelines may be updated from time to time, in which case we will update the “Last Revised” date at the top of these Community Guidelines.
